Collections Manager, Norval Foundation
At the Norval Foundation, I manage the collection across eight permanent locations. I oversee handling, cataloguing, preservation, and database management while coordinating Norval’s loan program, including logistics, loan documentation, and insurance. I collaborate closely with the curatorial team to support Norval’s dynamic exhibition program.

Director, Scheryn Art Collection
I oversee the daily operations of the Scheryn Art Collection, managing handling, cataloguing, inventory, curation, preservation, and exhibition planning. I maintain comprehensive records, including a digital database and library. Additionally, I engage with institutions to develop initiatives that contextualize and exhibit the collection.

Collection Manager, Various
In addition to my roles at Norval Foundation and Scheryn Art Collection, I manage various private collections, ranging from 60 to 600 works. I provide advisory services, cataloguing, and collection management while engaging with museums and curators to enhance each collection’s visibility. To support these collections I build digital archives to preserve and share these artworks.

Curator, 'Kaloki Nyamai: Ithokoo masuiluni', Norval Foundation
I curated, Ithokoo masuiluni, Kaloki Nyamai’s first solo exhibition in South Africa. I worked with Kaloki’s gallery in Berlin, Galerie Barbara Thumm, and Kaloki’s studio in Nairobi to create an exhibition of three of his monumental canvasses. This included overseeing logistics, insurance, shipping and installation, working with the gallery on the curatorial position and text and collaborating with the Norval team on the marketing, artists edition programme and opening event.

Exhibition Producer, 'We, the People: 30 Years of Democracy in South Africa', Norval Foundation
I worked with the head curator, Liese Van der Watt, and the exhibition manager, Carmen Joubert, to realise We, the People: 30 Years of Democracy in South Africa at Norval Foundation. My primary role involved overseeing all logistics related to the exhibition. This included arranging the loan agreements, shipping and insurance for approximately 125 artworks from around South Africa. Secondary roles included artwork production and installation, as well as working closely on all audio-visual aspects of the exhibition.

Advisory Board Member, Art School Africa
Art School Africa is a non-profit organisation established in 2022. It is dedicated to empowering individuals across the African continent to kickstart or advance their careers in the art industry. Art School Africa offers a multitude of free online talks and panel discussions, as well as in-person workshops led by accomplished professionals.

Independent Consultant, AEA Consulting
I supported AEA’s Middle East portfolio by conducting research, data collection, and analysis, benchmarking global cultural organizations, and forecasting aspects of capital and infrastructure projects. Using these benchmarks, I provided recommendations on the most suitable business and operating models for various cultural assets to optimize their potential.

Exhibition Manager, ‘Having but little Gold: Berni Searle’, Norval Foundation
I managed key relationships between the Director, Chief Curator, COO, Head Curator, and artist to ensure the timely and seamless opening of Having but little Gold: Berni Searle. I collaborated with external contractors—AV specialists, fabricators, painters, framers, and designers—to troubleshoot, develop creative solutions, and meet tight deadlines, ensuring smooth exhibition execution.

Curator and Producer, The Ditau Collection at Mount Nelson
Curated and produced an exhibition of 31 works from the Ditau Collection at the Mount Nelson in Cape Town, highlighting 12 artists who construct boundless futures through their practice. The exhibition emphasized the collection’s mission to cultivate a lasting cultural legacy by championing African and diaspora artistic voices.

Producer, Curatorial Connective
Collaborated with the A4 Arts Foundation to create the Curatorial Connective, a residency program for emerging curators focused on the South African arts ecology and African artists. I developed the open call, managed the selection process, coordinated 27 sessions with national and international contributors, and engaged with funding partners. I also provided insights and recommendations for future editions.

Facilitator, CCA at Home with UCT and A4 Arts Foundation
A4 hosted postgraduate students from UCT's Centre for Curating the Archive for an online program on curatorial skills. I provided mentorship, advice, and digital access to Scheryn Collection, sharing several years of experience to guide students in producing virtual exhibitions during the 2020 and 2021 iterations.

Producer, 'This stays between you and me' curated by Phokeng Setai
Worked with The PLOT to host Scheryn Art Collection’s online exhibition, curated by Phokeng Setai. The exhibition was titled This Stays Between You and Me and explores shifts in personal space within the digital realm, offering an intimate, informal setting that encourages curiosity, exploration, and discovery. The exhibition was created in response to South Africa’s COVID-19 lockdown.

Producer, The Project Space at Louisvale
I developed a cultural outreach initiative and exhibition program for Louisvale Wine Farm in Stellenbosch, fostering connections with the local arts community. The project included site visits, audits, and recommendations. Alongside Igsaan Martin we designed a program featuring artist residencies and gallery exhibitions to enhance cultural engagement.

Manager, City of Cape Town bid for Art Basel Cities
As an independent consultant, I represented Cape Town in its bid to host Art Basel Cities, collaborating with local organizations including the Mayor’s office, Western Cape Economic Development Partnership, and Iziko National Museums. I coordinated Art Basel’s first event in Africa, attracting 250+ global art leaders, and served as Art Basel’s local agent before Zeitz MOCAA’s 2017 opening.

Consultant, African Curatorial Practices Workshop
In partnership with Harvard University’s Center for African Studies, I’ve contributed expertise on the contemporary African art market. In March 2020, I met with Harvard’s team to finalize workshop content and speakers. Although pandemic restrictions delayed the workshop, I delivered research on the African art market and identified potential speakers. The project was realised in 2022 as a workshop.
